About the Artist
Ashley Bailey, born in southern Louisiana is a fine artist and illustrator. She is known for her multifaceted drive in individually expressive and communicative art.
Ashley’s inspiration has been fed through family, film , culture and books. This love has driven her to an interest in storytelling, a key factor of all her work. Ashley completed her Master of Arts Degree at Pensacola Christian College in 2025. During her studies, her work experience allowed her to experience hands on illustration projects with a publishing company while balancing part time as a high school art teacher. Children’s curriculum, personal projects and hired works are now a standing majority of Ashley’s portfolio. Artbyash is a self-establishing business that Ashley has grown since 2018. But her love of art does not stop here. Ashley has participated professionally in many art competitions yearly which has granted her high scoring and awards. Ashley’s drive continues to show in her outgoing determination to present herself as a more well known portrait artist.

Just as art has the power to change through storytelling, so do I. My journey consists of many ups and downs as I further develop my skill and experience life. An artist is always learning, so long as they allow it. So, I take every commission and project as an opportunity to achieve more and improve my talents. Every role I take during and outside of my projects are visible on the canvas. These aspects of my art show the cogent faith I walk daily.

My artwork is rooted in the passion to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of creating. I use compelling and strong compositions to clearly communicate the story on my canvas. Each stylistic technique in my work is calculated to have a strong relationship with the context. Blending my skill and inspirations from my life and culture allow me to accomplish my goal of meaningful, bright communication.
